In recent years, sustainable innovation and climate-friendly technologies have become the order of the day, and the government has adopted three main strategies to help hightech industries launch sustainable businesses, including: amending circular economy regulations and policies, leading industry and academia in research and development of low-carbon and innovative circular products and technologies, and linking cross-regional industry ecosystems and innovative business models.
Novatech is a key member in the high-tech manufacturing process provides R&D and integration services of water, gas and chemical technologies for plant systems in high-tech industries. In order to achieve our sustainability goals, we have established ESG directions and long-term strategies to provide clear direction and objectives. This demonstrates our commitment to implementing sustainability goals and actively aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We integrate SDGs into our core business operations, identify influential and key development opportunities within the industry value chain, and use them to formulate a sustainable development blueprint and strategy focused on 'technological innovation, customer safety, and a sustainable Earth.' We comprehensively implement ESG, set short-, medium-, and long-term goals, and actively promote and review the progress of goal implementation on an annual basis.

1-2 Sustainable Development Promotion Unit
While continuing to pursue excellence in corporate development, Novatech has implemented corporate social responsibility management, focusing on economic, social and environmental ecology, and sustainable issues of corporate governance. In accordance with the provisions of the "Code of Practice for Sustainable Development of Listed Companies", a "Code of Practice for Sustainable Development" is established, and a Sustainable Development
Promotion Taskforce is responsible for proposing and implementing policies or systems for sustainable development.
In order to improve the management of sustainable development, the Company has a dedicated (part-time) unit inthe Office of the General Manager to promote sustainable development, which is responsible for the formulation and implementation of sustainable development policies or systems, and reports regularly to the Board of Directors.The Board of Directors not only regularly monitors the business progress of each group based on the reports of the Sustainable Development Promotion Taskforce, but also has the mission of formulating a corporate vision for sustainable development and making statements on corporate sustainable development policies, taking into account the company's operational performance and the implementation of sustainable issues such as social, environmental and corporate governance.
The Sustainable Development Promotion Taskforce consists of members from the General Manager's Office, the Support Center, the Management Department, the Resources and Materials Department, the Industrial Safety Department, and the Technology and Environment Department, and is divided into the "Corporate Governance and Economy Team", the "Employee and Social Care Team", and the "Sustainable Environment and Product Service Team". In 2021, the "Greenhouse Gas Inventory Group" was added under the "Sustainable Environment and Product Service Team". In 2022, a new "Risk Management Team" was added to the Sustainability Promotion Team, which is responsible for comprehensively evaluating the likelihood and impact of the occurrence, risk identification,measurement, monitoring, reporting, and handling of the various risks faced by the daily business activities and management processes.
1-3 Sustainable Topics Identification
Stakeholder Engagement and Major Topics
Through the Sustainability Development Promotion Taskforce, we have defined the stakeholder groups that influence or are influenced by us in three dimensions: economic, environmental, and social. In accordance with the GRI Standards "Principles for Defining the Content of Reports", and with reference to the five principles of the AA1000 Stakeholder Engagements Standard (AA1000 SES): Dependency, Responsibility, Tension, Influence, and Diverse perspective, and the actual operation situation of the company, we identified eight stakeholder groups related to Novatech, including: employees, shareholders, investors, government agencies, and customers. The eight stakeholder groups are: employees, shareholders and investors, government institutions, customers, suppliers, neighboring communities, public welfare organizations, and media.
Major Topics Identification
In order to build the company's sustainable DNA,strengthen the company's corporate social responsibility competitiveness, and understand the degree of stakeholder interest in Novatech's sustainability issues, we follow the GRI General Guidelines 2021 and the guidelines of AA1000 SES, and identify the sustainability issues with high stakeholder relationships through the following four steps (identification, sequencing, execution, and communication),
analyze their possible positive and negative impacts, and investigate and analyze the probability and impact of shocks to identify the company's major sustainability topics. In 2022, we collected and screened 19 of the key sustainability topics. Compared with the domestic engineering industry's
concern for the economy, environment and society, we analyzed, sorted and merged them with the distribution of questionnaires to identify 12 major sustainability topics. As the basis for the compilation and disclosure of this sustainability report, the screening steps are as follows:

Internal and External Impact Boundaries
In 2022, we have identified 12 major topics in the areas of governance, society, and the environment, and we are working to improve our sustainable governance by revealing and tracking the sustainable performance of these themes according to the level of stakeholder interest and impact. In addition, this year, we took the initiative to refer to the Electromechanical and Engineering Services Industry Standards of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) to disclose the performance of sustainable issues of concern to Novatech industry stakeholders to improve our sustainable governance.
